Description

CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES MAY HAVE DEFECTIVE FRONT GAS TANK MOUNT BRACKETS, WHICH COULD BREAK IN SERVICE AND BREACH THE TANK WALL POSSIBLY CAUSING FUEL SPILLAGE.

Injuries / Consequence

FUEL LEAKAGE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.

Remedy

DEALERS WILL REPAIR THE TANK BY REPLACING THE EXISTING FRONT BRACKETS. ANY PAINT AFFECTED BY THE WELDING PROCESS WILL BE REFINISHED. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN ON SEPTEMBER 17, 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT AMERICAN IRONHORSE AT 1-817-665-2000.
