Description

CERTAIN TRUCKS WERE RECALLED FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SLEEVES ON THE FUEL INJECTION LINE AS REQUIRED BY SAFETY RECALL SC0317 (NHTSA RECALL NO. 06V392). THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE NEW SLEEVES MAY CHAFE THE FUEL INJECTION LINE.

Injuries / Consequence

THIS COULD COMPROMISE THE FUEL INJECTION LINE OVER TIME WHICH COULD POSSIBLY RESULT IN AN ENGINE FIRE.

Remedy

DEALERS WILL REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE SLEEVES ON ALL FUEL INJECTION LINES FREE OF CHARGE. THIS RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 19, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MACK TRUCKS AT 1-800-528-6586.
