Description

Dana Incorporated (Dana) is recalling certain Spicer Ultimate Dana 60 Bracketless Crate Axles sold for Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The axel suspension bracket may prevent sufficient lubrication from reaching the pinion tail bearings.

Injuries / Consequence

Insufficient lubrication may cause the pinion tail bearing to seize, preventing the axle from rotating and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dana will replace the axles, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 30, 2023. Owners may contact Dana customer service at 1-419-887-3000.
