Description

EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: AIR BRAKE SYSTEM AIR DRYERS. THE RETAINING BOLTS FOR THE REED COVERS ON EITHER END OF THE TRAILER AIR DRYER MAY CRACK CAUSING THE BOLT HEADS TO COME OFF.

Injuries / Consequence

THE AIR BRAKE SYSTEM CAN LEAK AIR OUT FROM THE AIR DRYER CAUSING A LOW AIR WARNING BUZZER AND EVENTUALLY THE TRAILER PARKING BRAKES COMING TO FULL APPLY OR THE TRAILER'S PARKING BRAKES CAN ENGAGE WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.

Remedy

BENDIX WILL REPLACE THE TRAILER AIR DRYERS WITHOUT CHARGE.
