Brake Line may Chafe against Air Compressor Line

Recalled: May 8, 2013 ~1 units affected 13V179

Description

Lion Bus, Inc. is recalling one model year 2014 360 bus manufactured in December 2012. Due to insufficient distance between the air compressor discharge line and the hydraulic brake line, the lines may chafe against each other resulting in a hole in the brake line.

Injuries / Consequence

A brake line hole could result in a loss of brake fluid. The fluid loss could lengthen the stopping distance required thus increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Lion Bus will notify the owner and an Alliance Bus representative will modify the bus to ensure that there is adequate distance between the air compressor discharge line and the hydraulic brake line. The owner was notified on May 15, 2013.
