Description

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain model year 2017 Thomas Built Buses Saf-T-Liner C2 school bus chassis manufactured November 25, 2015, through April 27, 2016. The brake transmission shift interlock feature may be inoperable making it possible to shift into a drive gear without first pressing the brake pedal.

Injuries / Consequence

This condition can result in the vehicle moving unintentionally or rolling away, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.

Remedy

DTNA will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle's software, free of charge. The recall began on November 1, 2016. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-726.
