BRAKES:VALVE SOLENOID

Recalled: October 12, 1979 ~277 units affected 78V190

Description

THE BRAKE ANTI-LOCK SYSTEM COULD FAIL AFTER EXPOSURE TO HIGH CONCENTRATIONS OF CONTAMINANTS WHICH MAY BE ALLOWED TO COLLECT IN THE TRAILER BRAKING SYSTEM. FLUID COLLECTION IN THE BRAKING SYSTEM MAY CAUSE THE PISTON TO STICK. THIS CAN CAUSE NO AIR TO BE DELIVERED TO THE BRAKE CHAMBERS SUPPLIED BY THAT VALVE, WHICH CAN INHIBIT BRAKE APPLICATION ON THE AFFECTED AXLES.
