Description

Vactor Manufacturing (Vactor) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Vactor HXX PD, HXX Fan, HXX Prodigy, and 2100 Plus, and Guzzler Guzzcavator trucks manufactured January 10, 2014, to June 2, 2015. The affected vacuum trucks have boilers that may have been assembled with incorrect hardware and/or improper tightening procedures.

Injuries / Consequence

If the boiler assembly was not correctly mounted, the cabinet and boiler may detach from the truck, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Vactor will notify owners and dealers will inspect and repair the units, as needed, free of charge. The recall began on July 20, 2015. Owners may contact Vactor customer service at 1-877-342-5374.
