Description

THE FASTENERS SECURING THE COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS (CNG) ROOF-MOUNTED FUEL TANK LIDS WERE NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED AND/OR MAINTAINED.

Injuries / Consequence

IF THE FASTENERS FAIL TO HOLD THE FUEL TANK LIDS PROPERLY, THE LIDS WOULD COME OFF DURING THE OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.

Remedy

CHANCE COACH IS DEVELOPING A MODIFICATION KIT TO ENHANCE THE FASTENING OF THE ROOF FUEL TANK. UNTIL THAT KIT IS AVAILABLE, OWNERS SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT THE FUEL TANK IS SECURELY FASTENED.
