EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: AFTERMARKET RUNNING BOARD KITS INSTALLED ON MINIVANS. A JACK ADAPTER SOLD IN SOME OF THESE RUNNING BOARD KITS CAN CREATE AN UNSTABLE VEHICLE CONDITION WHEN IT IS USED WITH THE JACK TO RAISE THE VEHICLE.

Injuries / Consequence

THE VEHICLE COULD FALL OFF THE JACK INCREASING THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY TO PERSONS WORKING ON THE VEHICLE.

Remedy

DEALERS WILL REMOVE THE ADAPTER FROM THE JACK PACKAGE AND INSTALL FOUR PERMANENT JACK LOCATOR/EXTENSION PADS.
