Description

ALTEC IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2006-2007 AT200A, AT235, MODEL YEAR 2007-2010 AT235P AND MODEL YEAR 2008 AT3XG TRUCKS BUILT ON GM CHASSIS. THERE IS A POTENTIAL HYDRAULIC HOSE ROUTING CONDITION IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE HOSE COULD CONTACT AND CAUSE SOME ABRASIONS TO AN OEM 12V CHASSIS WIRE OR POSSIBLY RUB ON THE STEEL POWER STEERING LINE WHICH MAY LEAD TO POSSIBLE DAMAGE OF THE HYDRAULIC LINE.

Injuries / Consequence

THIS COULD RESULT IN A BURST HYDRAULIC HOSE DAMAGE WIRING, OR A FIRE.

Remedy

ALTEC WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS TO DEALERS ON HOW TO INSPECT AND INSTALL THE NEW BRACKET FREE OF CHARGE. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON SEPTEMBER 15, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT ALTEC AT 1-877-462-5832.
