Description

Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Altec TA45M and AM50/55 aerial devices equipped with 500W DC-DC converters. Due to voltage and current spikes, the converter can fail and cause a fire.

Injuries / Consequence

If the converter fails, it can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy

Altec will notify owners, and dealers will replace the 500W DC-DC converter with one that has a revised design, free of charge. The recall began December 10, 2018. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 699.
