SEARS RESPONSE RST TOURING 2000 TIRES SIZE P205/70R15 PRODUCED BY COPPER TIRE & RUBBER CO., BETWEEN APRIL 21 AND APRIL 27, 2002. THESE TIRES MAY HAVE A FOLD ON THE INNERLINER.
Injuries / Consequence
TIRES WITH A FOLD OR CRACK WILL LEAK AIR WHEN THEY ARE MOUNTED AND INFLATED. SHOULD THE AIR LOSS NOT BE DETECTED, THE LOSS OF INFLATING AIR COULD RESULT IN A TIRE FAILURE, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A VEHICLE CRASH.
Remedy
SEARS IS NOTIFYING ITS CUSTOMERS TO HAVE THEIR TIRES REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN SEPTEMBER 11, 2002.
