CPSC, Bits and Pieces Announce Recall of Metallic Motion Lamps
Description
The lamps are rocket-shaped with metallic wax, which becomes molten when it heats up while the lamp is in use. The wax and the matching trim on the lamp may be red, silver or blue. The colored trim is on both the base and top of the lamp.
Injuries / Consequence
There have been seven reported instances of the lamps shattering in use, including one report of minor cuts.
Remedy
Consumers should immediately discontinue use of this product, and contact Bits and Pieces to arrange for its return and for a full refund. Product purchasers are being notified directly by Bits and Pieces.
