Description

Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is recalling certain model year 2011-2014 MT45G and MT55G van chassis manufactured from February 15, 2010, through September 3, 2013. These vehicles have gasoline fuel tanks that may experience cracks in the welds and tank material.

Injuries / Consequence

Cracks in the fuel tanks could lead to a leakage of gasoline and vapors. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may lead to a vehicle fire.

Remedy

DTNA will notify owners, and dealers will replace any of the affected fuel tanks free of charge. The recall began on December 16, 2013. Owners may contact DTNA at 1-800-447-4986.
