Description

EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: FRONT STEERING AXLE ASSEMBLIES, 160BN200 3, 160BN200 5, 160BN200 7, 160BN200 8, 161BN204 2, AND 161BN205 2. THE INNER WHEEL BEARING CONE FOR THE STEERING AXLE WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY DOES NOT PROPERLY FIT ONTO THE OEM STEERING AXLE SPINDLE ASSEMBLY.

Injuries / Consequence

IMPROPER FIT OF THE BEARING TO THE SPINDLE INCREASES THE STRESS LEVELS TO THE STEERING AXLE SPINDLE WHICH COULD CAUSE SPINDLE FAILURE.

Remedy

DEALERS WILL REMOVE THE LEFT AND RIGHT HUB/DRUM ASSEMBLIES AND REPLACE THE INNER WHEEL BEARING AND THE BEARING CUP.
