Description

EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: AXLES USED ON MOTOR HOMES AND TRAVEL TRAILERS. THE WHEEL BEARINGS USED IN SOME OF THESE AXLES HAVE A METALLURGICAL DEFECT CAUSING EARLY FAILURE.

Injuries / Consequence

A WHEEL BEARING FAILURE COULD RESULT IN THE LOSS OF THE WHEEL END FROM THE AXLE INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE CRASH.

Remedy

DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE AXLES AND REPLACE THE WHEEL BEARINGS IF NECESSARY.
