Description

THE COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS (CNG) CYLINDER MOUNTING BRACKETS RETAINING BOLTS CAN BREAK.

Injuries / Consequence

THE CYLINDER COULD FALL FROM THE VEHICLE CAUSING A LEAKAGE OF CNG INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE FIRE.

Remedy

EDO CANADA HAS GONE OUT OF BUSINESS. THE CORRECTION WAS TO REPLACE THE EXISTING BRACKET STRAP WITH A MORE ROBUST DESIGN AND INSTALL ELASTOMETRIC SPRINGS.
