Description
REV Recreation Group (REV) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Holiday Rambler Vacationer motorhomes. The affected vehicles have a front truss that may not be adequately supported at the attachment points, allowing any wire harnesses or hydraulic lines routed between the truss and its supporting framework to be pinched or crushed.
Injuries / Consequence
A damaged wire harness can cause an electrical short, resulting in intermittent operation of electrical systems or a vehicle shut down. A damaged hydraulic line may leak fluid. Either condition may increase risk of a fire or a crash.
Remedy
REV will notify owners, and dealers will install additional steel to support the front truss,. Dealers will also inspect the hydraulic hoses and electrical wiring, relocating them as necessary. These repairs will be done free of charge. The recall began on November 29, 2016. Owners may contact REV customer service at 1-800-509-3417. REV's number for this recall is 161018REV.
