Description

THE WIRING LOOM IS ROUTED THROUGH AN AREA OF THE DASH WHERE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ARM MAY CHAFE THE WIRING LOOM WHEN THE EMERGECY BRAKE IS DEPRESSED. WITHIN THE WIRING LOOM ARE TWO WIRES FOR THE AMMETER THAT DO NOT HAVE IN LINE CIRCUIT BREAKERS.

Injuries / Consequence

CHAFING OF THE WIRING LOOM WITH ELECTRICAL LINES LACKINGIN LINE CIRCUIT BREAKERS CAN LEAD TO SHORT CIRCUITS AND RESULT IN A VEHICLEFIRE.

Remedy

REROUTE THE WIRE LOOM OUT OF THE PATHWAY OF THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ARM, AND INSTALL CIRCUIT BREAKERS ON THE AMMETER WIRES TO REDUCE THE LIKELIHOOD OF SHORT CIRCUITS.
