PLASTIC SHELL OF CHILD RESTRAIN FRACTURED DURING DYNAMIC CRASH WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH FMVSS 213, CHILD SEATING SYSTEMS, WHEN USED IN INFANT REAR FACING MODE. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: SHOULD THE PLASTIC SHELL FRACTURE IN AN ACCIDENT IT WOULD FAIL TO RESTRAIN THE CHILD IN THE SEAT, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE SERIOUS INJURIES. CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: AN EASY TO INSTALL KIT CONTAINING A REINFORCING PLASTIC SLEEVE INSERT WILL BE PROVIDED TO CONSUMERS.
