Description

IN ACCIDENTS, AT SPEEDS GREATER THAN 30 MPH, THE BUCKLE LATCH HOUSING MOUNTED IN THE BASE OF THE SHELL CAN DEFORM, CAUSING THE LATCH MECHANISM TO FRACTURE, ALLOWING DISENGAGEMENT OF THE BUCKLE TONGUE TO FROM THE BUCKLE HOUSING.

Injuries / Consequence

OCCUPANTS OF THE SAFETY SEAT WOULD FACE AN INCREASED RISKOF INJURY IN SUCH AN ACCIDENT.

Remedy

OWNERS WILL BE SENT A REPLACEMENT BUCKLE HOUSING WHICH CAN BE EASILY REPLACED BY REMOVING THE FOUR SCREWS ATTACHING THE ORIGINAL BUCKLE LATCH ASSEMBLY.
