Description

ON THE INVOLVED VEHICLES, THE ELECTRICALLY POWERED WINDOWS MAY BE OPERATED WHEN THE IGNITION KEY IS IN THE "OFF" POSITION OR IS REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH. THIS CONSTITUTES A NON-COMPLIANCE WITH FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 118, "POWER OPERATED WINDOWS".

Remedy

DEALER WILL MODIFY THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TO PRECLUDE POWER WINDOW OPERATION WHEN THE IGNITION KEY HAS BEEN TURNED OFF OR REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH.
