THE INVOLVED HELMETS MAY BE IN NON-COMPLIANCE TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 218, "MOTORCYCLE HELMETS". THE NON-COMPLIANCE EXISTS BECAUSE OF IMPACT ATTENUATION FAILURE IN WHICH THE HEADFORM ACCELERATIONS EXCEEDED MAXIMUN ALLOWABLE 400G.
Remedy
THE INVOLVED HELMETS WILL BE REPLACED WITH ONES THAT MEET THE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS, FREE OF CHARGE.
