THE QUICK RELEASE CHIN STRAP FAILED TO MEET THE RETENTION REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS 218, MOTORCYCLE HELMETS. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: THE INABILITY FOR THE HELMET TO REMAIN ON THE MOTORCYCLIST DURING AN ACCIDENT INCREASES THE POSSIBILITY OF SERIOUS HEAD INJURIES.
