EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: TWO-IN-ONE CAR SEATS, MODELS BEGINNING WITH 636 AND 637. THE SEAT'S BACKREST AND BASE HAVE SEPARATED WHEN THE OCCUPANT IS RESTRAINED BY THE SEAT'S 5-POINT HARNESS. THIS DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 213, "CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEMS."

Injuries / Consequence

IF THE BACKREST AND BASE WERE TO SEPARATE IN A VEHICLE CRASH, THE CHILD IN THE SEAT COULD BE INJURED.

Remedy

EVENFLO WILL REPLACE THESE SEATS.
