THE EXHAUST DOWNPIPES INSTALLED ON THE INVOLVED VEHICLES MAY NOT PERMIT PROPER CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE DOWNPIPES AND THE STEERING COLUMN LOWER JOINTS. UPON MAKING A HARD FULL RIGHT TURN, THE EXHAUST DOWNPIPE AND STEERING COLUMN COULD COME INTO CONTACT WITH EACH OTHER. THIS COULD RESULT IN A LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL.
Remedy
DEALER WILL INSPECT AND, IF NECESSARY, REPLACE THE EXHAUST DOWNPIPE WITH ONE OF MODIFIED SHAPE, WITHOUT CHARGE TO OWNER.
