Description

STERLING TEK HAS NOTIFIED NHTSA ABOUT A NONCOMPLIANCE IN CERTAIN VOX 803 SIZE S MOTORCYCLE HELMETS. THESE HELMETS FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE PENETRATION REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 218, "MOTORCYCLE HELMETS."

Injuries / Consequence

IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, THE HELMET COULD BE PENETRATED, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY TO THE PERSON WEARING THE HELMET.

Remedy

STERLING TEK WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND WILL OFFER A FULL REFUND FOR THE NONCOMPLIANT HELMETS. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON MAY 13, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT STERLING TEK AT 1-877-742-1700.
