Description

STERLINGTEK IS RECALLING 705 VOX MOTORCYCLE HELMETS, MODEL 803, SIZES XL AND XXL. THESE HELMETS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 218, MOTORCYCLE HELMETS.

Injuries / Consequence

IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, THE HELMET MAY CRACK AND NOT PROVIDE ADEQUATE PROTECTION TO THE WEARER POSSIBLY RESULTING IN INJURY.

Remedy

STERLINGTEK WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE THE HELMET FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON AUGUST 17, 2009. OWNERS MAY CONTACT STERLINGTEK AT 877-742-1700.
