Description

THE FUEL PUMPS MAY CONTAIN A DAMAGED INTERIOR SEAL. A DAMAGED INTERIOR SEAL MAY INTRODUCE AIR INTO THE FUEL SYSTEM, CHANGING THE FUEL DENSITY.

Injuries / Consequence

CHANGES IN THE FUEL DENSITY RESULTING FROM THEINTRODUCTION OF AIR AT THE FUEL PUMP CAN CREATE SURGES AT HIGH VEHICLE SPEEDS ORCAUSE STALLING IN IDLE CONDITIONS. EXCESSIVE STALLING MAY CREATE A ROAD HAZARDCONDITION. SURGES AT HIGH SPEED COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND ANACCIDENT.

Remedy

REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMPS.
