THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND THE THROTTLE CABLE MAY BREAK, CAUSING A LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. PRIOR TO THIS, THERE MAY BE A MALFUNCTION IN ACCELERATOR PEDAL OPERATION, CAUSING THE ACCELERATOR TO STICK IN THE OPEN POSITION.
