Description
VEHICLES FAIL TO CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 103, "WINDSHIELD DEFROSTING AND DEFOGGING SYSTEMS", DUE TO A MISSING DEFROSTER AIR OUTLET HOLE IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. BECAUSE THE VEHICLES HAVE ONLY ONE OUTLET HOLE INSTEAD OF TWO, AS REQUIRED, AN INADEQUATE SUPPLY OF DEFROSTER AIR REACHES THE WINDSHIELD. THIS RESULTS IN A LONGER TIME PERIOD FOR COMPLETE DEFROSTING.
