Description

UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS THE PLASTIC FAN FOR THE UNDER FLOOR HEATER COULD CATCH ON FIRE DUE TO THE CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE LOW SPEED RESISTOR WHICH GENERATES ENOUGH HEAT TO IGNITE THE FAN. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, THIS COULD RESULT IN A FIRE IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT.

Remedy

REMOVE THE IN LINE RESISTOR AND INSTALL TWO TERMINATING WIRE END CONNECTORS TO ELIMINATE THE POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD.
