TIRE DESCRIPTION: PEP BOYS FUTURA DAKOTA H/T AND FUTURA ADVENTURER H/T TIRES SIZE P235/75R15 PRODUCED BY COPPER TIRE & RUBBER CO., BETWEEN NOVEMBER 25, 2001, AND JANUARY 5, 2002. SOME OF THESE TIRES MAY EXHIBIT LOWER SIDEWALL CRACKING.
Injuries / Consequence
WHEN THIS CONDITION EXISTS, OVER TIME IT COULD RESULT IN ACCELERATED AIR LOSS. LOSS OF AIR COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A VEHICLE CRASH.
Remedy
PEP BOYS IS NOTIFYING ITS CUSTOMERS TO HAVE THEIR TIRES REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN FEBRAURY 22, 2002.
