Description
NAVISTAR IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 IC CE SCHOOL BUSES MANUFACTURED FROM JANUARY 19 THROUGH JANUARY 21, 2010 EQUIPPED WITH INTERNATIONAL MAXXFORCE DT ENGINES. THE HIGH PRESSURE POWER STEERING HOSE MAY HAVE BEEN ROUTED INCORRECTLY POSSIBLY CAUSING THE HOSE TO CHAFE ON THE POWER STEERING RESERVOIR BRACKET POTENTIALLY RESULTING IN A POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.
Injuries / Consequence
A HIGH PRESSURE POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT MAY CAUSE A FIRE POSSIBLY RESULTING IN PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONNEL INJURY, OR DEATH.
