The candle lamps were distributed during last year's holiday shopping season. PROBLEM: Conductor wires attached at the light bulb socket may easily pull out during use and could pose a potential electrocution hazard. WHAT TO DO: Return to place of purchase for a full refund of purchase price, or return to: Loomco International P.O. Box 34 Transfer, PA 16154 Postage will be refunded. WASHINGTON, DC -- Before you put out your holiday decorations this year, check to see if you have a Holiday Brass Candle Lamp, manufactured in Taiwan by Kobiiz, item number 95062. Approximately 10,000 of these lamps were sold by Loomco International, a Transfer, PA importer during last year's holiday season. Loomco is voluntarily recalling candle lamps that it sold to various retailers because of a potential electrocution hazard. Conductor wires attached at the light bulb socket may easily pull out during use. The items recalled are eight-inch and nine-inch candle lamps, with UL-listed cords and seven watt bulbs, packaged in boxes labeled "Trimmings, Etc.," and "Handcrafted in Taiwan for Bradlees Department Stores." Bradlees previously recalled the lamps that were sold in its stores. The retailers who also sold these lamps and are currently recalling them are: Downeast Wholesale Co. of Damariscotta, ME; Boardman's of Coral Springs, FL; Boardman's of Clearwater, FL; Small Wonders of Ft. Myers, FL; Bob's Discount of Revere, MA; Warren Schreiber of West Springfield, MA; Small Delights of Philadelphia, PA; Lancaster Pottery & Glass of Lancaster, PA; Sunset Wholesale of Lebanon, PA.; Farrells Browse Shop of Sandy Lake, PA; Reimolds Auction of Transfer, PA; and Carol Partridge of Sandy Lake, PA. The lamps sold for about $3.00 each. Consumers who purchased these lamps at any of the above listed stores should return them to the store where purchased for a refund. They can also return the lamps, together with information where the lamps were purchased, to: Loomco International, P.O. Box 34, Transfer, PA 16154. All postage costs will be refunded. For additional information consumers may call: 412-646-2550. CPSC is announcing this recall as part of its mission to protect the public from unreasonable risks of injury and death associated with consumer products. The Commission's objective is to reduce the estimated 28.5 million injuries and 21,600 deaths associated each year with the 15,000 different types of consumer products under CPSC's jurisdiction.
