Description
North American Bus Industries, Inc. (NABI) is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 40LFW and model year 2013 31LFW transit buses manufactured October 5, 2012, through May 15, 2013 and equipped with a rear mount Sutrak electric HVAC. The fuse holder inside the HVAC may allow voltage spikes, which may damage electrical components.
Injuries / Consequence
Damage to electrical components may result in a fire.
Remedy
NABI will notify the fleet owner of the affected buses and dealers will replace the cables and fuse holders for the HVAC system, free of charge. The recall began on July 19, 2013. NABI's recall number is 20135. Owners may contact NABI at 1-256-831-4296.
