Description

Vermeer is recalling certain model year 2012 BC1200XL brush chipper trailers because the lug nuts may not have been properly torqued. As a result, the lug nuts could loosen and the wheels could separate from the bush chipper.

Injuries / Consequence

If the wheels separate from the brush chipper, there is an increased risk of personal injury, property damage or a crash.

Remedy

Vermeer will notify owners, and dealers will properly torque the lug nuts, free of charge. The recall began on August 21, 2012. Owners may contact Vermeer at 1-641-628-3141.
