Description

John Evans Mfg. (John Evans) is recalling certain 2016 Cheetah tandem axle flatbed trailers manufactured July 29, 2015, to August 6, 2015, equipped with certain Haldex Life Seal Type 30/30 Long Stroke Air Brake Actuators. The affected vehicles may experience brake drag due to an improperly seated diaphragm in the brake chamber.

Injuries / Consequence

Brake drag may result in a wheel end fire.

Remedy

John Evans will notify owners, and service centers will replace the actuators, free of charge. The recall began on July 6, 2016. Owners may contact John Evans customer service at 1-803-436-3100.
