EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: 15" BRAKE SPIDERS THAT ARE PART OF THE REAR BRAKING SYSTEM ON CERTAIN HIGHWAY TRAILERS AND IS ALSO USED ON AXLES WITH 19.5" TIRES. THESE BRAKE SPIDERS CAN FRACTURE OR CRACK AS A RESULT OF FATIGUE STRESS.

Injuries / Consequence

THIS CONDITION WOULD IMPAIR THE BRAKING SYSTEM ON THE VEHICLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Remedy

OWNERS WILL BE INSTRUCTED TO INSPECT THESE WHEELS, AND REPLACE, IF NECESSARY.
