Description

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024 Chevrolet Silverado Medium Duty 4500HD, 5500HD, 6500HD vehicles. The air bag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) may not have been activated during installation.

Injuries / Consequence

Inactive air bags will not deploy in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy

A Navistar technician will activate the air bag module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 1, 2024. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N242477760.
