Description

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2023-2027 IC Bus CESB school buses. While carrying the maximum number of occupants, the bus may exceed Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) when the fuel tank and fluid reservoirs are full.

Injuries / Consequence

An incorrect GVWR may lead to unintentionally overloading the bus, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will inspect and repair suspension as necessary, free of charge. The remedy is currently under development. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed by December 22, 2025. Owners will receive another notice once remedy becomes available. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25523.
