Description

Shyft Group is recalling certain 2023 Utilimaster Upfit vehicles. The battery cable connections for the electrical harness may be connected incorrectly, causing the circuit protection on the cables to be ineffective.

Injuries / Consequence

Without circuit protection, a short circuit on the negative cable can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy

Service centers will install the cables and wires correctly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 8, 2023. Owners may contact Shyft Group customer service at 1-800-237-7806. Shyft Group's number for this recall is 23-02.
