Description

THE REAR SEAT SAFETY BELT ANCHORAGE FAILED TO SUSTAIN THE LOADS REQUIRED BY FMVSS 210. SAFETY BELTS ARE ANCHORED TO A BAR ATTACHED TO THE FLOOR OF THE VEHICLE.

Injuries / Consequence

OCCUPANTS OF SEATS WITH UNSAFE BELTS HAVE INCREASED RISKOF INJURY IN THE EVENT OF A SUDDEN STOP OR VEHICLE ACCIDENT.

Remedy

REPLACE THE FLOOR MOUNTED SAFETY BELT ANCHORAGE WITH A FRAME MOUNTED ASSEMBLY.
