EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: TAILLAMP ASSEMBLIES WHICH WERE NOT MANUFACTURED WITH REFLEX REFLECTORS AND SIDE MARKER LAMPS AS REQUIRED UNDER FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT."
Injuries / Consequence
WITHOUT THE REFLECTIVE MATERIAL, THE VEHICLE MAY NOT BE CLEARLY VISIBLE TO OTHER MOTORISTS WHICH COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH.

JKL WILL NOTIY DEALERS/OWNERS TO RETURN THE NONCOMPLIANT LAMPS FOR A FREE REPLACEMENT. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN MAY 1, 2001.
