Description

EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: PERFORMA AND SECURE-FIT INFANT SEATS MANUFACTURED FROM JANUARY 26, 1996 THROUGH JULY 31, 1997. THESE SEATS DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE BUCKLE RELEASE FORCE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 213, "CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEMS."

Injuries / Consequence

IN THE EVENT OF A VEHICLE CRASH, THE BUCKLE MAY BE DIFFICULT TO RELEASE, MAKING IT HARDER TO REMOVE THE CHILD FROM THE CAR SEAT.

Remedy

KOLCRAFT WILL PROVIDE OWNERS WITH INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS, A REPLACEMENT BUCKLE HOUSING KIT AND THE TOOLS NECESSARY TO INSTALL THE NEW BUCKLE.
