Description

Spartan ERV (Spartan) is recalling certain model year 2005-2012 Star Series emergency vehicles manufactured February 1, 2007, through May 31, 2013 and equipped with a hydraulic ladder rack. The pins which hold the ladder in place may back out over time.

Injuries / Consequence

If the pins back out the ladder and ladder rack arm assembly may collapse, increasing the risk of personal injury.

Remedy

Spartan will notify owners, and will install spacers and locking nuts to prevent the pins from backing out, free of charge. The recall began on September 25, 2013. Owners may contact Spartan ERV at 1-800-867-6478, Option 2.
