Description

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA (Yamaha) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Skeeter FXR boat trailers. The boarding ladder used to gain access to the bow of the boat was manufactured with incomplete welds that can cause the ladder to fail.

Injuries / Consequence

A ladder that unexpectedly fails while in use increases the risk of injury to the user. In addition, if the welds fail during transport, the debris can cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will replace the trailer boarding ladder, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 10, 2025. Owners may contact Yamaha's customer service at 1-800-962-7926. Yamaha's number for this recall is 2025-001.
