Description

SPL Parts Inc (SPL) is recalling certain Front Suspension Lower Control Arm Kits equipped with replacement bolts. The lower control arm retention bolts could become brittle and break after being tightened.

Injuries / Consequence

A broken bolt head can become a projectile, increasing the risk of an injury. Additionally, failure of a lower control arm can result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

SPL will replace the bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 10, 2024. Owners may contact SPL customer service at 1-866-775-7278. SPL's number for this recall is 24-01.
