Description

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS. INCORRECT PRESSURE RATED POWER STEERING HOSES WERE INSTALLED.

Injuries / Consequence

THE HOSE THAT CONNECTS THE POWER STEERING PUMP TO THE STEERING GEAR CAN BURST OR LEAK RESULTING IN THE LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST.

Remedy

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE POWER STEERING HOSE. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN APRIL 26, 2001. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT MACK AT 1-610-709-3011.
